ARTIST SUBMISSIONS

Gallery 645 accepts submissions from emerging and established artists working in painting, mixed media, textile and sculpture. We are particularly interested in work that is conceptually grounded and formally resolved—art that has something to say and says it with conviction. We review submissions on a rolling basis and respond within sixty days. Due to the volume of submissions we receive, we are unable to provide individual feedback.

Gallery 645 is pleased to announce its first Call to Artists—Power Without Spectacle. The work selected for this exhibition will be on display July-August 2026 with an opening reception, in connection with Lexington’s Gallery Hop, from 5-8 pm on July 17, 2026.

OUR MISSION

We believe that contemporary art belongs in every community and that the best galleries are places where people want to return. At Gallery 645, you’ll find strong work, honest conversation, good coffee and a book club that reads fiction and nonfiction about art and artists.

We are also home to Kids Place Lex, a nonprofit that provides free art classes to foster children in the central Kentucky area. The gallery and the nonprofit share a building and a belief that making art changes lives.
